Our Mother & Baby Shop on Clarendon Road opened in May 2013 and is a great resource for families in the community as well as providing income for our charity and counselling services. We have a team of wonderful volunteers who work in the shop, many regular customers who shop here often and we are fortunate to have daily deliveries of lovely and generous donations of items to sell.  

Job Description:  Shop Supervisor for our Mother & Baby Charity Shop (Job Share 3 days/week)

Person Specification:

·        We are looking for someone who is reliable, trustworthy, friendly, flexible, hardworking a good communicator,  able to work as part of a team and also use own initiative and have the confidence to work alone when necessary.

·        We are also looking for someone who fully appreciates, and will be an advocate for, the work of our charity and shares our values and vision.

·        Previous retail experience and previous charity work an advantage

Role includes:

·        Working in, and supervising, all aspects of the running of the charity shop in line with our policies and procedures; including sorting and pricing donations, storing out of season stock, maintaining a tidy, safe and attractive shop, serving customers, cashing up and ensuring smooth running of the shop. 

·        Supervising, and working as part of a team with other staff and our highly valued volunteers and being able to work alone when volunteers are not available

·        Reporting in to the CEO to review ideas and ways forward as we continue to grow.

Hours:   18 hours per week – days to be agreed   Wages:   £8.40 per hour.
